After a stellar start to his loan at Real Betis, Juventus is now in the race to acquire Antony from Manchester United.
Having been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, Antony joined the Spanish club on loan last month.
He has made an immediate impact at Betis, having not started a Premier League match in the first half of the season. In his first three La Liga appearances, the Brazilian international has scored twice and provided an assist.
As reported by the Spanish publication Fichajes, Italy is taking notice of his performance. Juventus is closely monitoring his progress in hopes of a potential summer move to permanently sign the 24-year-old.
The specific demands from Manchester United for a player who was originally purchased for £82 million from Ajax in 2022 remain unclear. Despite reuniting with former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag, he struggled in the Premier League, scoring only five goals in 62 league matches for the Red Devils.
With his excellent short passing ability from the right side, Antony seems to align better with Motta’s tactics than Yildiz. Additionally, given Juventus’s blend of Portuguese and Brazilian players, he is likely to feel at home, as language barriers will be minimal.
As another attacker features on the club’s summer wishlist, Motta needs to maintain the pace in Serie A. Securing a Champions League spot is vital for his future at Juventus and for attracting top-tier players.
