Nikola Jokić has just finished his NBA season after being defeated by Minnesota in the Western Conference semifinals, with Denver losing the series 4-3.
As usual, after the basketball season ends, Jokić looks forward to what he enjoys perhaps even more than basketball—the horse racing season.
It’s well known how much Jokić loves his horses and the pets he keeps in Sombor, and he has participated in major races throughout Europe with some of them.
Last year, he made headlines in Italy, and this time he was seen in Sweden at Solvalla.
The Serbian basketball player was present to support his friend Alessandrom Gocciadoro, whose horse, Bengurioso Jet, is competing in the Elite Race this afternoon.
He traveled to Stockholm, where an elite horse race was held, and celebrated with his horse at the event.
According to people filming him on social media, he enjoys walking and chatting with drivers during trotting races and is not too keen on giving interviews to the media, often avoiding making statements.
Jokić also received a gift of flowers from the organizers, as well as a standing ovation from the audience.
The 2m 11cm tall Jokić was also seen talking to Solvalla’s sporting director Anders Malmrot, possibly discussing plans for his future as a trotting coach.
