Tyson Fury goes for breakfast with Sir Alex Ferguson as he ‘considers ending retirement after 38 days’ with the clock ticking on Anthony Joshua’s superfight

Tyson Fury is reportedly considering a return from his recent retirement to set up a long-awaited clash with Anthony Joshua. The Gypsy King had announced his retirement last month following his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December of the previous year.

In a brief social media clip, Fury said, “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up!” This marked the fifth time Fury has retired, having returned to the ring four times previously.

For fans eager for the all-British showdown that has been discussed for years, there may be hope on the horizon. Reports from Boxing Kingdom suggest that Fury is reconsidering his retirement just weeks after his announcement, potentially to fight Joshua.

Joshua may have dropped a hint that moves are taking place to set up his next fight after posting a cryptic Instagram post

Joshua added to the speculation with a cryptic Instagram post featuring a photo of himself playing chess while on vacation. He captioned it, “The game is the game (black pawn emoji),” leaving fans to wonder if this hints at negotiations taking place behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Fury appears to be enjoying his retirement, breakfasting with Man United legend Sir Alex Ferguson this week

Fury seems to be enjoying his retirement, recently breakfasting with Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson. In a photo shared by Ring Magazine, the two were seen enjoying a variety of breakfast dishes, including Eggs Benedict and cups of tea. Fury, an outspoken Man United fan, has previously expressed his desire to fight at Old Trafford.

As Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, is eager to arrange the next fight for Joshua—who lost to Daniel Dubois in September—the stage may be set for a major announcement soon.
