Who was Dejan Milojević?
Dejan Milojević was a member of the youth national team under 22 with which he won the gold medal at the European Championship in Trapani, Italy, in 1998. With the senior national team of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, he won the gold medal at the 2001 European Championship in Turkey. He also played at the 2005 European Championship in Serbia and Montenegro.
As a coach, he was a member of the coaching staff of the Serbian national team under coach Igor Kokoškov, and in the absence of the coach, he independently led our national team’s match against Georgia as part of the qualifications for the 2022 European Championship and, with a convincing 92:66 victory, brought Serbia a place in the Eurobasket.
Dejan Milojević began his basketball career at KK Beovuk from Belgrade under coach Miša Lakić. He joined FMP Železnik in 1998, and after two seasons at FMP, he moved to Buducnost, where he won the double crown in four years and reached the TOP 16 of the Euroleague in the 2000-2001 season.
