FLY BOY: Manchester City target £50m Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush

Manchester City have identified Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush as a potential addition to bolster Pep Guardiola’s attacking options. However, a January move seems challenging, as Frankfurt remain focused on securing a Champions League spot, currently sitting third in the Bundesliga.

Marmoush has been in outstanding form, with only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane outscoring him in the league this season. The 25-year-old Egyptian forward, valued at approximately £50m, has netted 13 Bundesliga goals and 18 in all competitions. Marmoush’s versatility allows him to play as a No. 9, a wide forward, or a No. 10, making him an appealing target for City.

City’s attack could use reinforcement following Julián Alvarez’s record £82m move to Atlético Madrid in the summer, leaving Erling Haaland as their primary striker. While Haaland recently regained his scoring touch with three goals in two matches, Marmoush would provide Guardiola with tactical flexibility and give the Norwegian needed rest.

Marmoush’s potential arrival might encourage midfielder James McAtee to leave City in search of regular game time. Fulham have expressed interest in a loan deal for McAtee, with West Ham also monitoring the situation. The 22-year-old, who had a successful loan spell at Sheffield United last season, could leave temporarily or for a reported £20m fee. Ipswich are also keen on the England Under-21 international, but a loan move to Fulham currently appears more likely.
