Manchester United forward Antony is reportedly being considered for a potential loan deal to Olympiacos. The Brazilian international joined United two years ago for a hefty Ā£86 million from Ajax, but has struggled to make an impact, scoring only 12 goals and providing five assists in 94 appearances.
Antony’s performance has been inconsistent, especially under former manager Erik ten Hag, who initially helped him rise to prominence at Ajax. Under the current manager, Ruben Amorim, Antony has continued to face challenges, managing just one goal in 12 appearances this season and failing to start a single Premier League game.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United is keen to offload Antony and is in discussions with several clubs regarding a loan move. Teams from both Spain and Greece have expressed interest, with Olympiacos being the Greek club reportedly keen on acquiring the player.
Olympiacos is actively searching for a new winger following the departure of former Premier League player Willian, who left just three months after joining the club. The Europa Conference League holders aim to inject some creativity into their attack, and Antony could provide that spark, especially given his previous success at Ajax, where he netted 24 goals and provided 22 assists in 82 appearances.
