Man Utd star Diogo Dalot serves food at local homeless shelter on Christmas Eve – as Red Devils defender hails ‘TRUE HEROES’ that volunteer for charity

Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot spread Christmas cheer by volunteering at Lifeshare, a local homeless charity in Manchester.

 The 25-year-old Portuguese defender, alongside his partner, made an unannounced visit to the shelter in the city center, surprising visitors with donations of food and clothing. On Christmas Eve, the couple rolled up their sleeves to serve hot meals to over 100 individuals, embodying the true spirit of the holiday season.

Dalot, who has called Manchester home for over six years, expressed his pride in the city and his commitment to raising awareness about homelessness. “Homelessness is on the rise, and as a family, we want to raise awareness and directly help wherever we can,” he said. The footballer also praised Lifeshare for its incredible efforts in supporting vulnerable people.

Reflecting on the experience, Dalot praised the volunteers for their dedication, calling them “real heroes” and acknowledging the privilege of contributing to their vital work. Jahan Hussain, a trustee at Lifeshare, thanked Dalot for his involvement, especially following a challenging year for the charity. “Support like this is life-saving,” he noted.

Lifeshare’s annual Christmas Project runs from 7 am to 7 pm throughout the week, offering meals, shelter, showers, clothing, and additional services like haircuts, pet care, and eye health checks. Dalot’s involvement highlighted the importance of community support and unity during the festive season.
