In the first half of Man United’s match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Harry Maguire maintained a somewhat compact defensive line.

He has effectively carried the ball forward and made vital challenges to frustrate the hosts and prevent them from establishing a rhythm.

Maguire has also been smart in neutralizing the threat of Martin Odegaard, especially in the way he tries pressing in Man United’s box.

In the 24th minute, the centre-back annoyed the Norwegian midfielder by cheekily body-blocking him to make him scramble down on the ground.

Odegaard looked proper annoyed by that and Arsenal fans on Twitter cant stop crying, as here are some reactions.

James Wager: “3rd time Maguire has deliberately blocked off Odegaard. Ref has done nothing yet.”

Gillespie Road: “4 times Maguire has bashed Odegaard.”

MattyAFC: “That’s twice Ødegaard has been bodychecked off the ball by Maguire. It’s clearly a game plan to slow down our press – will the ref let it happen over and over throughout the game?”
