Ruben Amorim, the new manager of Manchester United, is living in a fancy hotel that stars like Rita Ora and Lady Gaga have stayed at before.
Amorim stays at the five-star Lowry in Salford, Greater Manchester. It’s not far from there to Old Trafford, where Manchester United plays.
The Portuguese coach was taken from there in the early hours of the morning in a black people carrier to the Carrington training ground of the Premier League giant.
The Portuguese friend and teammate, Jose Mourinho, stayed in the fancy hotel for an amazing 895 days when he was United boss. The 39-year-old is now there too.
But it’s not expected that Amorim will spend £500,000 like The Special One did.
He may have already started looking for a home in Manchester so that he can bring his wife Maria João Diogo and their two kids with him.
A United source said, “Amorim wants to bring his family over and make their own home.”
“The Hale and Bowdon area has been brought up as a place where his captain Fernandez and a lot of the players live.” The place where they train is only a short drive away.
“He could move into Paul Pogba’s or Ten Haag’s old place.” He is in the Lowry right now, though. He’s taken a few walks around the city and had coffee in a few places.
“He might meet Pep Guardiola or some City players who live nearby,” the source said.
The Lowry is on the line between Salford and Manchester. It only takes a few minutes to walk into the city from there.
There is also the Presidential Suite, which costs £4,000 a night and is the most expensive hotel room in Greater Manchester.
Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue, Alesha Dixon, and Take That are just a few of the famous people who love it.
The hotel was really the first in the UK to provide in-room face spa treatments to its patrons.
The 165 rooms at the Lowry are frequently reserved by United. The night before each home game, five to ten rooms are reserved.
Every player has a double, and United managers frequently have team meetings there as well.
Louis Van Gaal, the former manager, talked to his players there for so long that club officials would often search the hotel for listening devices.
