Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool gave Hungary a late penalty kick in Tuesday night’s UEFA Nations League game.

In the ninth minute of extra time, the Reds’ No. 8 scored from the penalty spot to earn a thrilling 1-1 draw with Germany at Puskas Arena.

Lewis Koumas, who is presently on loan at Stoke City, did not play for Wales in their 4-1 victory over Iceland in the Nations League, while Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch were late substitutions for the Netherlands in a 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Wataru Endo led Japan to a 3-1 victory against China in World Cup qualification earlier in the day.

At the youth level, the Young Lions advanced to the next round of Euros qualifying when on-loan Kaide Gordon, who is spending the season with Norwich City, started for England’s Elite League Squad in a 1-1 draw with Poland and Trey Nyoni also played for England’s U19s in a 0-0 match against Belgium.

In contrast, Trent Kone-Doherty played little under an hour for the Republic of Ireland’s U19 team, which advanced to the next round alongside the Young Lions after defeating Iceland 2-1.

Last but not least, Spain’s U21 team defeated Denmark 2-1 in a friendly match, led by Stefan Bajcetic, who is currently on loan at Red Bull Salzburg.
