After Leandro Trossard got hurt during Belgium’s loss to Israel in the Nations League, Arsenal now has a new injury worry.
Because of injuries, both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice had to pull out of England’s most recent Nations League team, which made things even worse for Mikel Arteta.
Torssard was taken off after only 37 minutes, which made the Gunner’s injury headache worse.
The north London team lost Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard during the September international break, so this is another tough one.
As we move forward to the October international break, wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were hurt.
Now that it’s November, Leandro Trossard has been taken off and Ben White is going to miss time, even though White wasn’t picked by England.
Domenico Tedesco revealed that the Arsenal winger was taken off because of an injury after Belgium’s loss. “It was a difficult game for a number of reasons,” he said.
They had never played or trained with each other before we brought them out.
“A lot of people got hurt before the game, and we also lost Trossard and [Zeno] Debast during it.” The conditions were very tough, and the game wasn’t very good.
Now it looks like Trossard will join Riccardo Calafiori on the injured list. Calafiori hasn’t played since October, when Arsenal beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0.
Mikel Arteta also doesn’t have Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has been out for a long time and has only played once in the league this season.
Declan Rice may not be able to play for Arsenal again after the international break. The player took painkillers for a broken toe so he could play against Chelsea.
And if Arsenal can’t play with Saka, Trossard’s injury would be even worse. That would leave them with only Raheem Sterling and Martinelli as adult wingers.
Both injuries and red cards have made it hard for the Gunners to get off to a good start this season.
So far, Arteta’s team has had three players sent off. Rice and Trossard were sent off in draws against Brighton and Manchester City.
William Saliba was told to leave the game against Bournemouth, which the Gunners lost 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
That put them in fourth place in the league, nine points behind first-place Liverpool, who have only lost one game this season under new manager Arne Slot.
Mikel Arteta will need to get his team moving in the right way as soon as possible if they want to keep challenging for the title. Injury problems seem to be getting worse.
It could be up to eight weeks before White can play again after surgery to help with a long-term knee problem.
