Reports say that Arsenal and Manchester United are ready to move for Leroy Sane if he doesn’t sign a new deal with Bayern Munich.
Sky Germany reports that United and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the 28-year-old because Bayern want to keep the German international but want him to take a pay cut. The story also says that Sane wants to stay with the Bundesliga team, but it’s still not clear if he will accept their offer.
Sky News also says that Bayern wants to keep Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer, but they will have to get ready for a possible pay cut. Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, wants to lower the present team’s wages in 2025. According to the story, Sane will not be leaving in January. However, the longer the talks last, the more likely it is that the former Manchester City player will leave for free next summer.
Sane is said to have a deal worth up to €20 million (£17 million or $21 million), but Bayern wants to cut his pay by up to €4 million. He could get bonuses that would bring his pay close to what it is now, though.
Sane is expected to play against Augsburg on November 22 after the international break. During the break, Sane’s Germany will play Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary in the Nations League.
