Spurs fans are furious at Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard after their team’s terrible loss to Newcastle.

They lost 1-0 at St. James’ Park, which was terrible for their chances of winning the Premier League title.

Two teams were tied at 0-0 after one goal each from Alexander Isak. Mikel Arteta’s team was now five points behind Manchester City.

The Newcastle star put the home team ahead with a header in the first 12 minutes, but Arsenal couldn’t score.

Fans have said that scoring duo Martinelli and Trossard haven’t done enough to help the team.

Martinelli was on the left side, where he usually plays, but he had a tough time against Tino Livramento.

The defender beat the Brazilian in every tackle, aerial fight, and ground duel.

Martinelli was no longer a threat at all because of this; he didn’t make a single effective cross or shot on goal before he was taken off.

Trossard wasn’t any better than Arteta when he played as the No. 10 player.

During his time on the field, the Belgian only touched the ball four times in the Newcastle box.

A lot of the time, the striker had to get the ball from his own half before he could try to move forward.

A lot of fans said that they don’t think the two can work together on the same pitch.

Someone said: “Trossard and Martinelli in the same team just doesn’t work, we are missing creative passing and it’s very obvious neither has that.”

“Can’t watch Trossard and Martinelli together on the pitch,” wrote someone else.

“Trossard and Martinelli are two of our three best wingers at the club,” said a third. “Watching them is so painful for the soul.”

“Take Martinelli off and put Trossard on the wing,” said a fourth.

“Trossard needs to switch to Martinelli’s wing,” said someone else. Take that ram out of the game and bring in Ben White.”

Arteta said that he was “very frustrated” with the loss after the game.

“We earned to lose today,” he said. I thought we got off to a great start and were in charge. We weren’t good enough at protecting the box. They deserve it. They scored a great goal with a great pass.

“The game changes, and you play a new one.” We weren’t able to change well enough. I am really angry.

“They always want us to play a game, but we couldn’t play the game we wanted to in this one.”

“Mikel and Declan both had big chances for us.” We did not have answers.”
