Manager Erik ten Hag was seen returning to his home country of the Netherlands on a private jet following his dismissal from Manchester United.
The Dutchman quickly packed up his belongings at home in Cheshire a few hours after receiving the letter of dismissal. After that, he hurriedly hopped into a car and went to Manchester’s airport in order to return to Amsterdam.
Ten Hag used the chance to bid farewell and give hugs to airport employees on the tarmac before departing. “After being brutally fired by Manchester United, Ten Hag made an emotional farewell,” the Mirror said.
The photo shows how kind Ten Hag was to everyone around him. This mastermind was earlier seen trying to avoid the cameras while being escorted out of his home in Cheshire.
Supporters witnessed the Dutch coach lead MU for the last time on October 27, when the team lost 1-2 to West Ham in the Premier League’s round nine. The board of directors dismissed Ten Hag when the “Red Devils” fared too badly.
As expected, Ruud Van Nistelrooy will take Erik ten Hag’s place as MU’s interim coach. Since the beginning of the summer, the team’s board of directors has been debating this option, which is now the best one for the “Red Devils.” Van Nistelrooy’s top goal is to bring the team back to life.
To replace Ten Hag, the Old Trafford team is now searching for a strategist. Brentford’s Thomas Frank, former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim, and former Dortmund coach Edin Terzic are all possible Ten Hag replacements.
