Arsenal fans slam referee Anthony Taylor for ‘denying them a goal’ with controversial last-minute decision in Gunners’ dramatic draw with Liverpool😠😠

Arsenal fans are angry that referee Anthony Taylor made a questionable call late in the game that cost their team a chance to win against Liverpool in a top-of-the-table match.

The first goal was scored by Bukayo Saka with a well-placed finish. However, Virgil van Dijk scored a header during a corner kick, tying the game for Arne Slot’s team.

The fans of Arsenal are angry that the officials have lost even more points. They are especially upset about a play in the 90th minute where their team had the ball in the net but Taylor had already blown for a foul.

When the ball got loose in the Liverpool box, Curtis Jones made a terrible clearance that sent the ball flying into the air. 

His next header wasn’t very good, which led to a battle in the air between Dominik Szoboszlai of the Reds and Jakub Kiwior of the Gunners.

The Arsenal defender won the ball by jumping over his opponent. Taylor waited a second for Kai Havertz to catch it in the box before blowing his whistle.

The German forward then lobbed it over Caoimhin Kelleher, the Liverpool goalie, and Gabriel Jesus slid in to score.

Thousands of home fans went crazy because they thought their team had scored a late winner, but Taylor cut the celebration short by saying that he had already called a foul.

When the players from Arsenal got angry, they rushed the referee and said Kiwior’s challenge was legal. However, the event could not be sent to VAR because the referee blew the whistle before the ball dropped in. 

They weren’t the only ones who couldn’t stop talking about the goal that was called off. A lot of Gunners fans took to social media to criticize Taylor for the call.   

“Officials desperate not to see Arsenal win as usual,” Callum Stirling wrote on X.

What else did Alex Hutchings say? “Just not a foul is it?” Perfect heading.

Someone else said, “The ref blew the whistle so quickly that VAR couldn’t look at it either.”

This season, there have been times when Arsenal fans thought they were wrongly penalized by the referees.
