There are still rumors going around about his future, as TEAMtalk says that manager Mikel Arteta is still eager to sign a top striker to fight with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal is very interested in Sesko in particular. Sources say that the Gunners are ahead of Man United and Bayern because they have talked to the player’s camp and let them know that they can give him the most playing time for the rest of his career.

Outstanding chanceArsenal really wanted to get the talented Leipzig center forward after his first season, when he scored 18 goals and set up 2 others. Leipzig, though, finally got him to say that the contract would be renewed.

This meant that the German giants took out the £55 million release option in his contract. Any club that wants to sign him in the next few transfer windows will have to pay a lot more to do so.

According to Marco Guidi of Gazzetta dello Sport, Sesko could fetch at least £66 million next summer. If he performs well this season, Arsenal might be willing to pay that much.

This season, he has played 9 games and scored 6 goals and set up 3 others. Bayern might be interested in him, but he probably won’t be happy being second fiddle to Harry Kane at center forward.

He might face a similar situation with United, who just bought Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. At Arsenal, there is still room for a starting forward even though Kai Havertz has had a good season.

Havertz is quick and easy to move into center when needed, which could let Sesko lead the attack. Gabriel Jesus might be freed if Sesko joined before the next season.
