Lionel Messi is getting ready for the MLS playoffs, but first he spent time with kids in the area.

To show off his new Captain Messi toy, which will be on the Hard Rock’s new kids menu, Messi surprised a group of kids at the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Tuesday night.

“It was great to work with Hard Rock to make Captain Messi because my kids and I love watching superhero movies together,” Messi said in a statement. “I hope it drives young fans and families to do great things if they work hard and believe in themselves.”

The limited-edition Captain Messi toy will be free with a Messi Kids Meal starting October 23rd, or it can be bought on its own. Fans can also buy a new Captain Messi line at Rock Shops around the world. It includes lunchboxes, water bottles, pajamas, and more.

Soon after the Captain Messi toy comes out, The Hard Rock will add two new kid’s menu items: pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza.

At the event, Jim Allen, CEO of Hard Rock, talked about the company’s ongoing relationship with Messi.

“He’s one of the most famous people in the world, but it’s more about who he is as a person and his beautiful ideas about life, like helping others and kids and trying to do good things for others.”

Allen, Messi, and other Seminole Hard Rock members gave a check for $500,000 to Chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and another check for the same amount to the American Red Cross to help with aid efforts for people who were hurt by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
