Arsenal and Barcelona are both said to be interested in Jhon Duran after he played so well for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa team.

Duran has scored seven goals in the first seven games of the season for Aston Villa. The Premier League team has already signed the forward to a new deal that lasts until 2030. But that doesn’t seem to have stopped clubs from wanting to sign the Colombian, as Diario AS reports that Arsenal and Barcelona have joined the list of teams interested in him.

Clearly, Aston Villa wants Duran to stay, but they are thought to have a price in mind that would make them want to let the forward go. Emery’s team would be ready to sell for €90 million (£75 million), a very high price that might turn away potential buyers. Duran also seems happy at Villa, though his angry response to being taken off against Bologna in the Champions League was seen by many.

With his second goal against Bologna, Duran became the first player for Aston Villa since the late Gary Shaw to score in back-to-back games in the European Cup or Champions League. Shaw scored in both legs of their last-16 match against Dinamo Bucuresti in 1982–83.
