Out of love with Darwin Nunez, Liverpool is ready to replace him by recruiting a 20-year-old player who is in good form

Liverpool is reportedly among the teams considering a bid to sign Porto striker Samu Omorodion, who is in outstanding form right now and may be viewed as Darwin Nunez’s replacement. Liverpool transfers: Slot targets blockbuster signing of Man Utd slayer with Reds turning back on costly Klopp flopNunez hasn’t been guaranteed a starting spot for Liverpool since Arne Slot took over as manager, but it seems the Reds are now open to direct talks, according to Spanish newspaper Fichajes.CLOSED: Samu Omorodion, the new player of Chelsea | Fichajes.net They apparently have Omorodion on their radar.

After moving from Atletico Madrid to Porto this summer, the 20-year-old has already shown potential in his new nation, tallying seven goals in seven games across all competitions.

The untrustworthy Nunez would likely be a better choice than Omorodion. According to earlier reports from CaughtOffside, the Uruguay international might be closing in on his window of opportunity to beat Slot.

Nunez started yesterday’s match between Liverpool and Chelsea on the bench, but he ended up playing a significant amount of minutes after entering the game to replace the injured Diogo Jota.

Nunez might have a position as a reserve player for LFC, but he hasn’t lived up to the expectations placed on him when he arrived from Benfica a few years ago, when it seemed likely that he would start every game for Anfield.

Although Nunez might be set to move on if things don’t get better by the end of the season, Omorodion appears to have a little more to his game and is still relatively young and unknown.

According to Fichajes, Omorodion’s excellent play has also piqued the curiosity of Paris Saint-Germain, so the Reds may find it difficult to win the competition for the Spain Under-21 international.
