Football fans criticized William Saliba harshly on social media on Monday night after his careless penalty-giving during France’s 2-1 victory over Belgium.

The Arsenal player has been among the Premier League’s greatest defenders for the past two years. But he gave what Gunners supporters considered to be a “awful display.”

The first half saw Saliba trip and crash into Lois Openda. However, Youri Tielemans missed the penalty kick in the Nations League match in Brussels.

A lot of Arsenal fans wanted to use the mistake as a warning to Real Madrid, who are said to be in the market for him this summer.
