Nike Football’s new-generation Mercurial campaign includes a short film featuring Kylian Mbappé and young actress Makena Cooke. Nike was always going to detract from Cristiano Ronaldo with their new Mercurial line. The matter at hand concerned the distribution of it between Mbappé and Neymar, two potential successors to the mercurial player. The Frenchman is the major character, at least in this section.

Makena Cooke appears to be well-known. That’s because she starred in Nike’s popular Women’s World Cup 2019 film, “Dream Further.” You might be familiar with Mbappé from his adolescent years, when he dominated the world stage, won the World Cup, and scored a ton of goals. In the latest film, Mbappé is challenged by Cooke, a young player from California, to a crossbar fight in order to win his Nike Mercurial boots. 

She prevails and gets to keep the boots, which she most likely will never be able to fit, as you have undoubtedly already witnessed. Walking home in his socks is Mbappé’s task. It isn’t significant, though. It doesn’t really matter that much. This is really Nike’s final opportunity to showcase the new Mercurial, and it gives us a chance to appreciate how amazing the “New Lights” colorway looks in action.
