Arsenal was dealt a big blow when Bukayo Saka got hurt just six minutes into the second half of England’s game against Greece tonight.
The winger walked off because he was having trouble and was replaced by Noni Madueke.
Greece had just taken the lead with Vangelis Pavlidis before Saka was removed.
The 23-year-old star player for Arsenal seemed to have hurt himself before Greece scored.
Saka sat down on the grass while the Greek stars celebrated winning.
After that, physiotherapists treated him, and he limped off.
Tony Gordon tried to comfort a teammate from the Three Lions as he left for Madueke.
Saka was one of several attacking players that substitute manager Lee Carsley chose to start the game.
Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, and Gordon were also in the XI. Carsley chose not to start a standard No. 9 player.
Saka was given a yellow card before halftime.
The winger for Arsenal made a selfish mistake as Greece tried to counter, and he was punished for it.
Saka isn’t the first Arsenal player to get hurt while playing for his country this season.
Martin Odegaard, the captain of the Gunners, left the game in tears last month after hurting his ankle while playing for Norway against Austria.
Because of this, he has missed games against Tottenham, Manchester City, Leicester, and Southampton. He has also missed Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Stranger, who is 25 years old, recently shared video of himself working harder to get better.
But the date of his return is still unknown.
