For now, it looks like we might have to drop a piece after every Arsenal game thanking King Kai Havertz for his work. You can’t help but notice how much better he is now compared to this time last year, when he was called “60 million down the drain.” The German star has been giving his all for the Arsenal team in every game.
It was thought that the club would get another scorer to compete with him for a starting spot, but that didn’t happen. Because of how well he’s been playing, it looks like the club was right to trust him.
He got a lot of attention when he scored in all seven Arsenal games at the Emirates Stadium this season, starting with the game against Southampton on Saturday. He’s done more than just score, though. I think he’s become one of Arsenal’s stars this season. He also won seven duels, had 53 touches, finished 27 passes, took four shots, and used his running power to make Southampton miss. Portsmouth lost 3-1.
The former star player for Bayern Leverkusen has been amazing at scoring goals. As Arsenal’s #9, he has helped set up 20 goals in 20 Premier League games.
As a striker, he seems to score or set up a goal every 82 minutes in the Premier League. Last year, Arsenal was criticized for agreeing to pay more than £60 million for Havertz, even though he had never played well for Chelsea in the Premier League.
Still, look at what King Kai’s confidence has done for him: he is now bursting with genius. Yes, confidence really is a drug, and Havertz has a lot of it.
