When Messi and his oldest son Thiago took the pitch on 25 May for the international youth event put on by Inter Miami Club, they were both filled with joy. “This is an experience like no other,” he told her.
Since Inter Miami beat Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2-1 in the MLS on May 26, Messi and Suarez were not in the game. Both players stayed at home, but they were very excited to be able to join their kids in the youth tournament that the club put together from May 25 to May 27.
Rich Messi and Luis Suarez’s oldest kids, Thiago and Benjamin, are also good friends and play on the same U.12 Inter Miami Club team. They were proud to lead the U.12 Inter Miami and Orlando City SC young teams onto the pitch because they are parents.
“It’s an honour to be here with all of these other parents who came to Chase Stadium to watch their kids play football.” There is nothing else like this. It’s an honour to be able to walk out on the pitch with my son and watch every step they take and every play they make. I’m always excited about the chances to score.
“I hope the parents, the young players, and the teenagers will enjoy this very special event and experience,” Messi told the nearly 10,000 people who came to the opening day of the youth tournament put on by Inter Miami Club on May 25. Most of the people there were children and parents of young players.
I know that many other parents will give up everything every day to take care of their kids and share and support their love of sports. Before and after every practice or game, pick them up and drop them off. Every parent does everything they can to make their kids happy, and Messi said, “Football is happiness among other things.”
He also said, “Going to events with your kids is a happiness.” I hope you and your family and friends have a great time at this event. Whether they win or lose doesn’t matter; what matters is that the kids are happy. Have a great game and best of luck to everyone.
The US press says that Messi, Suarez, and their families spent the whole three-day weekend watching the Inter Miami Club-organized international youth events.
Another picture shared by a user of the social network X (formerly Twitter) shows that Messi, his wife, and their son Thiago were on their way home from a game when they stopped at a traffic light in Miami City and talked excitedly with other parents about their sons’ situations in the game.
Marca (Spain) said that this is just a normal picture of Messi, similar to pictures of parents whose kids are playing in a youth football event right now.
