With a win over Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal kept their perfect start to the Champions League this season.
Mohammed Kudus, a joker for West Ham, showed up in the stands for Arsenal’s Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, which made Arsenal fans very excited.
He was seen at the Emirates Stadium, where he watched Arsenal beat their French opponents 2-0, with goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka in the first half.
There are a lot of wide players for Mikel Arteta to choose from, but Kudus has become a fan favourite since joining West Ham for £38 million last year. Last season, the 24-year-old set up 14 goals in the league and amazed Hammers fans with his lightning speed and lack of reliability.
Fans of Arsenal are hoping that he will be sneaking his way down the flanks in north London soon after his surprise showing in the middle of the week. @phychem11 wrote on X, “I think he will soon be an Arsenal player.”
In other places, @Odegaard012 wrote, “He wants to play for Arsenal,” and @Zengqiong replied, “He’s joining us, leave that wasted West Ham.”
Kudus said earlier this year that he and his team talked with the Gunners before going to east London instead. He told The Guardian, “It’s true that they talked.”
“But when West Ham came along, things moved quickly. I made my choice after talking to people at the club about their plans and how they see me as a player.” I chose to do what I did because it felt right. That’s how I decide what to do. Anything that comes from it, I’ll deal with it myself.
It seems likely that Kudus will be a big hit at the Emirates if Arsenal decides to re-engage their interest in the former Ajax wide player. He would face a tough fight for playing time under Arteta.
