In the 94th minute, Wifred Ndidi blocked Leandro Trossard’s shot from a corner, letting it go in. The score was tied.
Arsenal players were very happy, and Calafiori was one of them as he ran after the Belgian.
But as the team hugged, the versatile defence fell to the ground hurt.
And just as Kai Havertz made it 4–2, fans who were paying close attention saw him limp and hold his knee after scoring a header.
Calafiori was seen with a big bandage on his left leg after the game.
Now, Arsenal fans are afraid that the Italian will end up in the treatment room next, following players like Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino. One fan even said, “Can’t catch a break.” I hope it’s nothing.”
“I pray nothing bad has happened to him,” said someone else.
A third person said, “No way, we’re done.”
Calafiori may have been lucky to even be on the pitch after he fouled Jamie Vardy and got a yellow card.
“It was beyond belief” that he wasn’t sent off, said Steve Cooper, the manager of Leicester.
If Calafiori does get hurt, he doesn’t have long to get better because Arsenal plays PSG tomorrow in the Champions League.
