Since he has worked with Samba before, Lionel Messi now has a very clean take on the trusty Gazelle, which is adidas’ second Samba-level star.

The Messi x adidas Gazelle is from the “Triunfo Dorado” line, whose name means “Gold Triumph.” With lots of collaborative shoes, adidas has found yet another way to honour Messi’s position as the best football (or football, as most people call it) player in the world. 

Messi and adidas’ “Triunfo Dorado” collection also had gold-plated soccer cleats, which look pretty good. But since people are crazy about flat shoes that look like Samba shoes like the Gazelle, all eyes should be on Messi’s version of the classic flat-soled trainers, and for good reason.

Messi’s adidas Gazelles are aesthetically pleasing. They are made of eco-friendly, soft brown suede and have black leather accents that add a bit of contrast to the otherwise simple shoes.

One more great feature is the nicely shaped buttery tongue, which is a subtle but stylish nod to earlier Messi Sambas. 

There is also a football star’s logo and gold branding on the leg of the Gazelles, just like on his Sambas. These details are likely to make Messi fans decide to cop. Who would be upset?

Fans of Messi are in luck because the star player’s adidas Gazelle shoes are now available on adidas’ website and at some mass stores like Foot Locker.

But act quickly: It’s already too late to get Messi’s new adidas shoe in a few sizes. They’re too good to last! Hopefully one with a Miami theme is on the way—pink gazelles would look great.
