Even before they let up goals in the second half to Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski, the legendary Manchester United star Gary Neville had harsh words for Erik ten Hag’s team.

Neville first called the Red Devils “hopeless” and “helpless,” then he said, “I can’t believe what I’m watching, it’s awful.”

Jamie Redknapp, a former Tottenham midfielder, added: “Spurs have been excellent.”

However, United has been horrible. No self-assurance, no identity. They have been really subpar.
