Arsenal could start 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter in their Carabao Cup tie with Bolton as David Raya is rested after picking up an injury against Man City😲😲

Arsenal might have to play Jack Porter, a 16-year-old rookie custodian, instead of David Raya after the exciting 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday.

The game was over, and Raya could be seen on the ground in pain. She needed medical help.

Mail Sport said Raya was walking funny after the game with a bandage on his right knee. It’s thought that the injury won’t be too bad, but the Spaniard will probably not play in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup third round match against Bolton. He should be able to play against Leicester in the league on Saturday for Arsenal.

Neto, their No. 2 custodian, came from Bournemouth on loan over the summer and is now tied for the cup after starting for Bournemouth in their loss to West Ham in the second round before moving to north London.

The talented 18-year-old Tommy Setford, who used to play for the Ajax youth team, hasn’t been with Arsenal since the international break because he isn’t fit enough.

Porter is now next in line. He sat on the bench last week when Arsenal went to Atalanta in the Champions League.

I think Mikel Arteta is in a tough spot now. He is usually hesitant to call on young people, as shown by how careful he was with rising star Ethan Nwaneri.

Porter played six games for the Arsenal Under-18s and one game for the Under-21s. He just turned 16 in July.

He has played four times for England’s Under-16 team and was on their Under-17 team.

When he signed his scholarship deal in July, he shared a picture of school manager Per Mertesacker on Instagram with the words, “Dream come true! Delighted to sign for this amazing football club with such a great history. Would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the years.” The hard work keeps going.
