Details of Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappé’s outstanding reaction to Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García’s attempts to dissuade him from taking a penalty have been made public on Monday.

Naturally, Real and Espanyol had a heated match over the weekend.

And it was the previously mentioned Mbappé who completed the scoring in Spain’s capital on the way to a 4-1 thumping.

With ninety minutes remaining, Los Blancos was handed a spot kick, and that much happened.

Mbappé, who had not yet entered his name on the scoresheet, was promptly given the ball and tasked with enhancing the score.

But before Mbappé could convert, Espanyol no. 1 Joan García approached the summer arrival in La Liga and gave him some harsh words to try to get him off his game.

Still improving his Spanish, though, as much did not have the anticipated impact on the front man for Real Madrid, who replied in a light-hearted manner by promising:

“I can’t comprehend a single word that you just said to me.”
