Journalist and celebrity biographer J Randy Taraborrelli shocked the world when he revealed that Beyonce and Jay Z secretly broke up because of Rihanna’s appearance in his latest book titled “Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story”.

According to J Randy Taraborrelli, Hollywood’s “power couple” Beyonce and Jay Z secretly broke up after rumors of Jay Z “dating” Rihanna spread. Although at that time, the rumors surrounding Rihanna’s love affair were mostly spread by PR to promote the singer’s name, Beyonce was still unsure whether the story with Jay Z was true or false. “Beyonce didn’t know how to handle it and they broke up for about a year, that was in 2005. She wasn’t sure what the situation was between Jay Z and Rihanna and how to deal with her. However, Beyonce and Rihanna remained friends after the incident,” J. Randy Taraborrelli told Entertainment Tonight on October 22. The journalist’s book also mentioned the controversial 2014 elevator argument between Beyonce’s sister and Jay Z that caused a stir at the time, which also involved Rihanna.
