Lionel Messi has started a new entertainment company and is planning a shocking new job after he retires.
Messi, who is 37 years old, is still a star on the pitch where he plays for David Beckham’s MLS team Inter Miami.
However, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is also interested in other things that could pay off big time when he finally chooses to hang up his boots.
Together with SMUGGLER Entertainment, the star forward has started 525 ROSARIO, a new company that makes material for people all over the world.
The Argentina captain’s new project will focus on family-friendly shows by creating and putting together high-quality TV shows, films, live sports events, and community events.
It will also focus on making commercials and branded material for athletes all over the world.
Messi said, “I’ve always loved entertainment, whether it was on the pitch or somewhere else.”
“I’m motivated by the opportunity to pursue the project we created with SMUGGLER Entertainment and to expand it further to create content and experiences on a global scale through this new venture.”
The family of the Barcelona great will be involved in 525 ROSARIO and want to make it a leader in entertainment around the world.
Messi’s family said, “The goal is still to inspire and connect with people all over the world in a brand-new way, and we’re excited about this journey.”
“We would like to continue advancing in the entertainment sector, bringing new initiatives and productions with global reach through innovative storytelling, programming, and experiences.”
Messi has been the best player in the MLS since he moved to Miami last year.
