Ryan Gravenberch was selected as the best player from Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over AC Milan in the matchday 1 League Phase of the 2024/2025 Champions League which was held at the San Siro, Wednesday (18/9/2024) early morning WIB.

Liverpool had fallen behind to a Christian Pulisic goal. The visitors rallied to score three goals, each through Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Thanks to this result, Liverpool started their Champions League League Phase campaign with confidence. On the other hand, Milan under Paulo Fonseca still has a lot of homework to do.

UEFA panellists voted Gravenberch as Player of the Match from this match. The Dutch midfielder was considered to be a key actor in Liverpool’s success in getting full points at San Siro.

Gravenberch was recorded as sending four passes into the final third of the opponent’s area. He was also able to control the tempo of the game by recording a pass accuracy of up to 90 percent.

Gravenberch played impressively as Liverpool’s defensive midfielder with six interceptions, one sweep, one tackle and 10 ball recoveries.
