Since the Brazilian joined Al-Hilal a little over a year ago, very few Saudi Pro League fans have had the opportunity to witness Neymar in action due to an ACL injury. The 32-year-old might now be out until January as head coach Jorge Jesus is eager to register every foreign player he has, which he can almost certainly do if he leaves out Neymar, according to Record.
Each side in the SPL is allowed eight spots for international players; however, Al-Hilal has nine, including the former star of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar, however, is probably only going to be able to play two or three games before the Saudi Arabian winter break because he is not anticipated to resume training until November. Jesus would therefore rather register summer signing Renan Lodi and address the matter again in January once his star striker is completely recovered.
Since agreeing to a lucrative contract with Al-Hilal, Neymar has missed more than 50 games for the team. Just three SPL games were played by the 128-cap Brazil international in 2023–24 before he suffered the devastating knee injury.
Last season, Al-Hilal easily defeated Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr by 14 points to win the league title. With six points from the first six games of the current campaign, they have also begun strong. They are still the team to beat in Saudi Arabia even without Neymar.
