The 57-year-old will be managing one of the teams in a farewell match which has been arranged for two of his former players, Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski

The 57-year-old is set to manage one of the teams in a farewell game for Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski, two of his former teammates.  Throughout the session, Klopp seemed upbeat and was seen chit-chatting with the German giants’ head coach, Nuri Sahin, a former midfield player.

After his nine-year tenure in Merseyside, Klopp made vague remarks about quitting management altogether. However, his two former players managed to earn him the interim position.

Both Piszczek and Blaszczykowski contributed significantly to Klopp’s achievements at the German team and were members of his 2011 and 2012 Bundesliga championship squads.

Additionally, they were crucial in getting Klopp’s team to the 2013 Champions League final, when they were defeated by rivals Bayern Munich.

They only had one manager in mind to oversee the game and be present in the dugout for their testimonial.

The 57-year-old first time in charge of a team since leaving Liverpool earlier this summer

For the first time since leaving Liverpool earlier this summer, the 57-year-old is in control of a squad.

Thus, they contacted Klopp and enquired about his involvement in the thrilling match.

Dortmund verified Klopp’s involvement as the game’s coach via a social media video post.

Piszczek informed Blaszczykowski in a humorous video that “we need a coach and I have an idea, we’ll call the retired coach.”

Then, wearing sunglasses, Klopp entered the frame and said, “You’ve finally reached your farewell game.”

God, I’m so sorry. And before to the game, you should train. Are you really so dumb?

Regarding his role in the game and the team he ought to lead, Klopp declared, “I couldn’t care less [about which team I manage].”

I’m not concerned about it at all.” I approach it as I used to, planning ahead five minutes in advance.

Is everyone in the game? If I wasn’t coming, I would still purchase a ticket!
