SAD ENDING: Messi sent RESPECTFUL message to Luis Suárez after his 17-year teammate retired annoucement from Uruguay National Team

Luis Suárez declared that the Uruguay national team’s match against Paraguay at the Estadio Centenario will be his last with the team. His friend and teammate Lionel Messi responded to this news by posting sincere remarks on his Instagram account.

From 2014 until 2020, Suárez and Messi were teammates at FC Barcelona, where they became good friends and experienced great success together. When they won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup in 2015, they reached their pinnacle as Blaugranas. These days, they are teammates on Inter Miami’s MLS team.

In his statement, Luis Suárez said the following:

“My final game with the national team is this Friday. I’m hoping that the fans who make the effort to come as well as my family will remember it forever. Suárez, who played a significant role for La Celeste for a considerable amount of time, expressed his hopes for a fantastic celebration and a victory for Uruguay. Additionally, he stated that he would rather stand down on his own terms than be driven out by injuries and that his decision is the result of the team’s talented generation of players.
