Declan Rice gave £5,000 to a GoFundMe effort to help a West Ham Under-15 custodian who is dying of cancer.
Rice, who used to play for West Ham as a kid, made 245 senior games for the Hammers before signing with Arsenal in July 2023.
Oscar Fairs, 14, has been with West Ham since he was nine years old. Last year, he was told he had a rare brain cancer.
According to Rising Ballers, Fairs has a West Ham season ticket and wants to make it to the first team.
Fairs had seven surgeries, one round of chemotherapy, and one round of radiotherapy, but she was told that the only thing left to do was palliative care.
Fairs’ family has found a medicine called MEMMAT that can be given at a place in France called The Oscar Lembert Centre but not in the UK.
The goal is to raise £100,000, and so far more than £60,000 has been raised.
It is planned that Fairs’ family will meet with the French doctor on Friday to talk about his treatment plan.
