Inside Paul Scholes’ £3.9M mansion including seven-bed, golf, heated pool,… – But Man Utd legend sold it after 21 years for end love with wife

After divorcing Claire, Paul Scholes listed his opulent home for an astounding £3.9 million on the market.

Only a few weeks after Claire moved out of their marriage residence and ceased to wear her wedding band, the 45-year-old Manchester United great made the decision to sell the house.

Scholes and his family – including his three children – have lived at the luxurious 13,000sq ft property for 21 years.

The former England star bought the pad soon after the 1998 World Cup.

The mansion is described as one of the “finest homes in Saddleworth”, in Greater Manchester, and features no fewer than seven bedrooms.

Scholes’ home – which was redesigned and refurbished in full in 2015 – also features its very own football pitch, home gym and putting green.

In keeping with the sports motif, the mansion has a netball court, and Alicia, the 18-year-old daughter, is about to make her debut with the Manchester Thunder.

In addition, the Saddleworth property has an independent “executive detached house” situated inside the landscaped grounds.

A home theater, games area, steam room, sauna, and indoor heated pool are among the amazing extras.

However, it now seems that Paul and Claire’s separation will result in the Scholeses leaving their family home.

A source told The Sun the pair, both 45, are “devastated”.

They added: “You have to feel for them as they both value family above everything else.

“They’ve been together forever and nobody saw this coming.”

Raised on a council estate that felt like it was miles away from their Saddleworth home, Scholes first met Claire in his local tavern when he was eighteen.

Six years later, they tied the knot.

Scholes, who is thought to be worth £27 million, frequently posted images of himself and Claire on Instagram; the most recent image was uploaded in February.

The former midfield player even went so far as to say that he left his England assignment in 2004 because of Claire’s obsessive emails.
