Following Sunday’s stalemate against Real Mallorca, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo of Real Madrid splurged on a trip on an opulent yacht.
On his La Liga debut, Mbappe could not live up to expectations as Carlo Ancelotti’s champions were held to a draw at Real Mallorca. The French sensation was chastised by fans for his lacklustre performance at Son Moix after failing to find the back of the goal. After the match, Ancelotti offered his players two days off, and according to El Desmarque, Mbappe went to a luxurious yacht in Marbella with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. The three are renting the 50-meter sailboat, which has swimming pools and jacuzzis, for €15,000 (£12,800/$16k) a day.
Ancelotti, who watched his team falter at Mallorca, said it’s “clear where the problem is”. The Italian used Mbappe to join Vinicius and Rodrygo in his starting lineup, highlighting the lack of balance on his team. Madrid needs to figure out a solution to allow the three to play their best football together because all three players prefer to play on the left side of the attack.
Due to their tie with Mallorca, Madrid had not won their opening league game under Ancelotti for the first time in six seasons.
After a two-day break, Ancelotti will be hopeful that his players can return rejuvenated and ready to perform. On Sunday, Real Valladolid will play Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu.
