Arsenal is in talks with Nottingham Forest about selling Eddie Nketiah.
Forest’s first offer for Nketiah, £25 million, was turned down because Arsenal wants at least £30 million.
Forest is interested in signing Nketiah as they look to improve their front line for new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. In addition, they want Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.
Arsenal beat Wolves 2-0 on Saturday, but Nketiah didn’t play as a replacement. He scored six goals in 37 games for the Gunners last season. During his 168 games for Arsenal, he has scored 38 goals.
Marseille and Nketiah had agreed on personal terms earlier this summer, but they couldn’t agree on a transfer fee, and the deal fell through.
Also, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are interested in him, but Forest wants to make a deal before August 30, which is the end of the transfer market.
As part of getting rid of players they don’t want, Arsenal is ready to sell Nketiah. The date for leaving the Emirates Stadium next week is also next week. Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson could also leave.
