Going back in time for another blast from the past, adidas Originals and Arsenal have released a limited-edition collection that honours the best moments of their first relationship, which lasted from 1986 to 1994.

After the first retro-inspired collection, which was based on the famous “Bruised Banana” jersey from the 91/93 season, was a hit, the newest collection has chosen another classic to build around: this time it’s the 93/94 away shirt. It’s an exact copy, right down to the big and bold EQT stripes that take up most of the design and the “JVC” company logo. The hero piece comes with a jumper, t-shirt, jacket with a zipper, drill top and track pants. The jacket has both short and long sleeves.
The Arsenal women’s and men’s teams will wear the collection leading up to four games from December 9th to December 15th. The zipped jacket will be worn by the women’s team when they play Barcelona in the UWCL on December 9th.
One of the campaign’s stars, former Arsenal player Ian Wright, said, “I have great memories of playing in the adidas EQT jersey during the 1993–94 season, and it’s great to honour that time with such a full and proper collection.”
“The range has all the classics, and getting to play our different parts on set was fun.” I had to tell some of the men and women on the first team that we won the Cup Winners Cup that year. Now that it’s back, we need to win something!”
