GUNNER PROJECT: Premier League giants Arsenal could return for ‘world-class’ £111m-rated Serie A striker

A well-known football reporter named Gianluca Di Marzio says that Arsenal has re-entered the race to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen. After being said to have dropped out of the race last month, the Gunners have chosen to give it another shot.

Several teams are very interested in the 25-year-old’s future in Serie A, which has made for some interesting conversation this summer. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French winners, are already interested in the striker.

On the first day of the transfer window, it was said that Mikel Arteta’s team was looking for a striker. But they lost interest because they wanted to chase a defence instead.

Eddie Nketiah is almost ready to move to Marseille, so Arsenal needs to add to their attack. They really wanted Benjamin Sesko, but the Slovenian chose to sign a new deal instead.

Soon after, Osimhen of Napoli was mentioned because the club wanted to sign the “world-class” striker. This summer, Osimhen didn’t hold back when he asked to be transferred. Aurelio De Laurentiis, the head of Napoli, has agreed that the player can leave the club.

He wasn’t on the team that played Modena in the Coppa Italia and wasn’t even on the team that played in the practice games. The club has already put a huge £111 million price tag on the player because top teams are really interested in him.

At first, Chelsea was thinking about making a move, but they pulled out of the running because of money concerns. PSG has promised to make this move happen and will pay Osimhen the amount he wants. The moving fee still needs to be worked out.

The attacker is currently making £207,000 a week, so Arsenal might not have any trouble getting personal terms with him. It would be impossible for them to get the player, though, unless Napoli are willing to be open with the deal.

Antonio Caliendo, the player’s lawyer, recently said that he was upset that no teams have made a strong offer. He told Le10Sport the following:

“Today there is too much carelessness; you only need to look at how it is handled.” He’s worth €200 million, but he has to wait for who knows what.
