Reports say that Trent Alexander-Arnold plans to stay at Liverpool for another season, even though Real Madrid is interested in signing him.
The 25-year-old has won seven titles with Liverpool since his first game with the first team in 2016. These include the Premier League and the Champions League.
There is only one year left on Alexander-Arnold’s deal with Liverpool, and he has not yet agreed to a new one with the club.
According to rumors from last week, Real Madrid is “seriously” interested in signing Alexander-Arnold and has already made an offer to do so.
The Sun, on the other hand, says that Alexander-Arnold has already talked to Arne Slot about the new season with Liverpool and has agreed to play in it.
As the story also says, Liverpool is going to give Alexander-Arnold a “bumper” new contract to keep Real Madrid from interested.
A source told the newspaper, “Trent has already talked to the new manager.”
“This happened before the Euros, and they’re talking now.”
“At first, they had a great conversation, but the manager understood that he needed to focus on the tournament.”
“Trent, along with the rest of the team, sees this as a fresh start, and he can’t wait to get back to training to set the stage for a successful new season.”
“He is definitely committed for the season, and he will be given a huge offer to stay longer.”
“Everyone at the club really likes Trent and will do everything they can to keep him.”
