Supporters claimed Mainoo ‘sent Joe Gomez back to Charlton Athletic’

throughout a small-sided game, Mainoo was captured on camera throughout the session.

The teenager held his composure under pressure from Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and sent the ball backwards through his teammates’ knees.

Later in the video, Mainoo repeated the move by tapping in nearer.

United fans were quick to react to the video on social media as they hailed their young midfielder.

One fan commented: “Sent him back to Charlton Athletic.”

Another added: “Cooking wherever he goes.”

A third supporter also wrote: “Kobbie Mainoo is just too good.”

Meanwhile, one more said: “Kobbie is something else.”

Mainoo has already impressed across his five England caps, having only made his debut against Brazil in March.
