Marc Guehi has been one of the impressive newcomers at this year’s EURO. The Crystal Palace player was named in the starting lineup alongside John Stones in the opening match between England.
With Harry Maguire unavailable, Guehi became the first choice at centre-back. Not disappointing Gareth Southgate, he put in a strong performance , helping the Three Lions keep a clean sheet.
Guehi had quite a promising performance.
According to sources from The Telegraph, Liverpool is paying special attention to Guehi, they even followed him before the EURO took place.
The Anfield team needs a solution to fill Joel Matip’s void after the 32-year-old left, and moreover, Virgil van Dijk doesn’t have much time to play at the top. So Guehi is becoming a possible target.
However, according to The Telegraph, The Kop will have to meet the £65 million fee set by Crystal Palace. Currently, Guehi’s contract still has 2 years left, so ”The Eagles” completely take the initiative at the negotiating table.
