The German international played a solid defensive role as Real Madrid overcame Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Wembley final on Saturday to win the cup for the fifteenth time.On Monday, Rudiger posted photos of himself holding the Champions League trophy to his Instagram account alongside fellow international player Toni Kroos and injured player David Alaba. Alaba was unable to play in the match. 

The watch, a Patek Phillipe Nautilus which was produced in collaboration with luxury label Tiffany & Co, is worth a staggering €1.51m (£1.29m)

Viewers of Rudiger’s social media photo would have noticed both the prestigious prize they were parading and the expensive trinket on his wrist. With a market worth of €1.51 million (£1.29 million), the watch is over thirty times more costly than the Champions League trophy itself, according to BILD.

In his career, Rudiger has now won two Champions League titles. His first came with Chelsea in the 2020–21 season.After Real Madrid overcame Liverpool in the championship match a year later, the German player (now 31) signed with the team, and he is an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. 

Saturday's triumph was the second time that Rudiger (right next to Alaba and Toni Kroos) has won the Champions League during his career - previously doing so with Chelsea back in 2021

Having participated in 48 games this season across all tournaments, he will now strive to win with his nation, which is hosting the European Championship this summer.
