At Old Trafford, Man United trails Arsenal 1-0 as the first half comes to a close. Leandro Trossard’s goal in the 20th minute has been the pivotal moment thus far.

While some Man United players have performed admirably thus far, others still have a lot of work to do. We examine them here.

Who have impressed

Amad Diallo:

Amad has been a breath of fresh air on the right-wing. He’s been a menacing factor with his clever running, keeping the defenders guessing and creating a few nice opportunities. Needs to be a bit more decisive with his work to get among the goals.

Diogo Dalot:

Dalt has kept Bukayo Saka quiet with his compact defensive work and also looked promising barging forward. He’s made four clearances and won 3/4 duels, being unlucky to see the goal come through his side.

Alejandro Garnacho:

Garnacho has really troubled the Arsenal right side with his menacing runs and gotten into promising areas. Created a few half-chances nad needs to go the extra mile to get amongst the goals.

Who must do better

Casemiro:

Even though Casemiro has won 4/4 duels, he’s been lazy with his movement and was horribly out of position for the goal. Needs to hold together a stronger defensive line and stop overcommitting with his challenges.

Scott McTominay:

McTominay is not really doing much creating chances as the no.10, being too passive with his passes. Needs to be smarter and more willing with his final product.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka:

Wan-Bissaka has not added anything going forward and looked shaky defensively, not being able to keep Trossard quiet. Lost the mark on him for his goal, made zero tackles and won zero duels.

Rasmus Hojlund:

Hojlund missed a golden scoring opportunity early on by skying a shot into the crowd from promising chances. He’s getting the ball in nice areas, but being bullied by the Arsenal centre-back and wasting chances.
