There are two injuries that have been fixed for Manchester United ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal this weekend.

Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford have both returned to trained with the first team at Carrington. This is great news for Erik ten Hag’s team before the game.

Martinez, an Argentine defender, hasn’t played since a 1-1 draw at Brentford in late March. He has only played 11 times all season because of injuries. Rashford hurt himself in the FA Cup semi-final match against Coventry and hasn’t played in any of the last three Premier League games.

The news of two injuries is great news for United as they prepare for their last four Premier League games, where they hope to qualify for Europe and beat Man City to win the FA Cup for the first time in history.

In particular, Martinez’s absence has been felt all season, as United has had to use a makeshift defensive pairing on many times. Jonny Evans and Casemiro were dragged down by Crystal Palace last week, and United were severely punished for their continued injury problems.

Rashford’s possible return would also be helpful because United didn’t have many bench choices on Monday night. However, based on his recent form, he would be lucky to start this weekend instead of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, or Amad.

United is still not sure if Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay can play in midfield because they both missed the 4-0 loss at Selhurst Park. The fact that so many kids (Harry Amass, Louis Jackson, Habeeb Ogunneye, Toby Collyer, and Ethan Wheatley) were at the lesson brought to light the club’s ongoing injury problems.
