THE BIG PROBLEM: Mo Salah’s five biggest games at Liverpool amid fears Jurgen Klopp’s stride against West Ham could mark the end of him

WAS this the last straw and strop for Mo Salah?

After the 2-2 draw that all but ruined Liverpool’s title hopes, Salah—who was named as a substitute for the second time in a week—rushed off, later adamant that “there’s going to be fire if I speak.”

Exclusively to SunSport, it was reported that the argument started as a result of a slight: while the Egyptian was getting ready to come off the bench, Klopp was expecting a handshake, but all he got was a fist bump.

The Liverpool star Jamie Carragher called Salah “daft” for escalating the public dispute, but the German manager declined to talk about the altercation.

Reds supporters find the altercation distressing, and it may rekindle speculation over Salah’s future at Anfield.

Could Salah leave Merseyside after manager Klopp does this summer?

Liverpool rejected enormous bids in the previous summer, and it is anticipated that he would return to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Salah and Klopp have both contributed significantly to Liverpool’s achievements.

Star striker Arne Slot, the new manager, will not want to deal with his frustration.

Salah has previously strained relations with his management and teammates prior to this Saturday’s altercation.

When Klopp substituted the attacker during the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United at Anfield earlier this month, the forward shook his head.

On the first weekend of August last year, Salah also bounded off the field at Chelsea after being removed at the 77-minute mark.

Salah also bemoaned Klopp’s substitution of him at Brighton in 2020.

2019 saw a public altercation between him and teammate Sadio Mane following his failure to pass to the winger during a match against Burnley; Roberto Firmino subsequently revealed that the argument had been simmering since the previous campaign.

Carragher is hoping for a successful season finale for both Salah and Klopp.

Sharing on X, “Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah are both LFC legends,” stated Carragher. We don’t have to choose a side!

“Jurgen took exception, which is understandable, since Salah is upset and enraged with him for not playing and for not totally embracing the boss at that particular moment.

“Let’s let them work things out and enjoy these last few weeks together. Mo was stupid with his comment in the mixed zone.”
