Fans are divided on whether the 25-year-old intended to score or not, but his first goal of the two has drawn the most attention online.

A pass was blasted into the six-yard box from the left wing as Mbappe was scurrying into the penalty area.

The cunning attacker appeared to pitch his heel at the ball out of instinct and managed to catch it flawlessly.

PSG took a 2-0 lead after the ball slipped past Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo after bouncing off his trailing foot.

When watching the slow motion recordings again, several fans on social media believe that Mbappe did not plan to score, despite the fact that the goal appeared to be a moment of perfect genius at first glance.
